This is publicschoolchoicedeadline reminder from the SalemSchoolDistrict. Arkansas law allows students to attend a publicschoolin a district other than the one in which they reside. Before a student can attend a publicschoolin a nonresident district, the student's parent or guardian must submit an application to the nonresident district. Applications must be postmarked no later than May 1st of the year the student would begin the fall semester in the nonresident district.SchoolChoiceforms are accepted on a first come, first served basis. Filing an application does not guarantee acceptance as resident and non-resident districts must comply with local policy and Act 560 of 2015. Salem High School Commemorative Composite Books are on sale for $20. The book includes senior class composite pictures for all senior classes 1948 through 2014. Books may be purchased at the Salem Schools Superintendent's Office - Monday through Thursday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. Books may also be shipped to you by mail for $23.
