June 1 is Deadline for Public School Choice - Click here for an application - 2013-14 school year
June 1st is the deadline for Public School Choice: Arkansas law allows students
to attend a public school in a district other than the one in which they
reside. Before a student can attend a public school in a nonresident district,
the student's parent or guardian must submit an application to the nonresident
and resident districts. Both applications must be postmarked no later than June
1st of the year the student would begin the fall semester in the nonresident
district. School Choice forms are accepted on a first come, first served
basis. Filing an application does not guarantee
acceptance as resident and non-resident districts must comply with local policy
and Act 1227 of 2013. Please call the superintendent's office (870-895-2516) for additional information.
